Adult + Youth Basic Woodworking Skills Series: Build a Kestrel Box
In this service class, we are partnering with the Friends of Sax-Zim Bog to provide an opportunity for adults to work with a child/grandchild/mentee/friend to build an American kestrel nesting box that will be used by researchers in the Sax-Zim area.

You will learn basic woodworking techniques of sawing wood, drilling, fasteners, nailing, and so much more. We will take rough cut wood, cut it to size, drill holes for nails and the entrance hole, and assemble the nest box. Note: the boxes we build are being donated to the Friends of the Sax-Zim Bog for American kestrel research.
