Bill grew up in Duluth, MN, and has been a lifelong paddler since he was a child. He has enjoyed many trips to the BWCAW and Quetico over the years, and feels very fortunate to be passing those experiences down to his children these days. He grew up using canvas and leather packs, and still uses them today.
Camping and paddling was such an influence on Bill in his formative years that he decided to work for a canvas and leather canoe pack company. Today, he’s the Production Supervisor at Frost River, and he absolutely loves what he does. It’s his pleasure to share my knowledge with students.
Bill has taught at the North House Folk School in Grand Marais, and also teaches photography workshops.
