Duluth Folk School Instructor Katie Farkas

Katie Sipila

I first learned to make paper mache masks in junior high and really enjoyed using all the different found materials, and realized that I could continue making them on my own whenever I wanted! Later on I ended up making a series of goddess masks that were displayed in a coffee shop. Since then I have dabbled in making more masks, and I look forward to sharing this skill with other people.
