What’s the Big Deal About Permaculture?

This class is for anyone and everyone in love with, interested in (or even skeptical about!) Permaculture.
During this class we will talk about its history and how and why it’s relevant today. We will review the ethics and principles of Permaculture, and discuss how each of us might apply these to our lives. We will start inside with a presentation about how the instructor has incorporated Permaculture techniques into her gardens, business, and kitchen. This class will be enhanced by group discussion – we’ll discuss questions like, what has worked or not worked for you in our unique region? What are you skeptical about? What projects are you working on that could benefit from a Permacultural mindset?
We will continue our discussion outside while we take a walk to practice our observation skills and systems thinking, and to share ideas of how to enhance our outdoor spaces. The instructor will provide material via email before class.
Registration Includes
By the end of class, you will go home with a holistic understanding of how to apply Permaculture ideas to whatever you do, and solid ideas of how to improve your property. You will be a part of a network of like-minded folks striving for community sustainability!

No special skills or knowledge required.
Best for Ages…
18 and older.
You should bring…
A notebook and something to write with, a smartphone for identifying plants, questions and existing knowledge.

Note: The Library is up one flight of stairs, and we do not have an elevator.

Is it too late to join tonight’s class?
If so, will you be offering this again. I”m at work, I’m in a skirt and sandals but i’d like to join tonight if that would work. Chelly
