If you already have tatting skills and would like to refresh or brush up on techniques, then this class is for you! Participants will learn rick-rack tatting, josephine picots, rings on chains, adding beads and buttons, and even split-rings.
Tatting is actually a simple process: two steps for one knot. You’ll be making lace before you know it! Upon completion of this class (and with practice outside of class, of course) you’ll be able to make rings, chains, and complete joins. You will then have the knowledge to make edgings, doilies, barefoot sandals, baby booties and more!
Your take-away will be refreshing your tatting skills, and you’ll also leave with a pattern or two with which you can practice!
This class is meant for someone who, at one time, knew how to tat, and is looking for a refresher course. This class would not be appropriate for someone who has never tatted.
Best for Ages…
Any age is fine.
You should bring…
You will need to bring at least two shuttles, two balls of your favorite tatting thread (any colors but both the same size), a small scissors, perhaps a tiny crochet hook.
