Join the Tamarack Dance Association and the Duluth Folk School for a West End Frolic on Saturday March 24, from 1-6 pm at the Duluth Folk School (1917 W Superior St). Old Time Music Jam, Family Dance, Workshops in Banjo, Fiddle, Clogging, and more!
Afterward, there will be a Barn Dance at The Mohaupt Block (2024 W Superior St), from 7:30 pm to 10:30pm.
Schedule
At the Duluth Folk School (1917 W Superior St):
1p – Old Time Jam. Bring your fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, or bass or try one of ours!
2p to 4p – Family activities. Kid focused music and dance.
4p to 6p – Workshops, which include:
- Learn to play the banjo, fiddle, or a rhythm instrument. Bring your own instrument or try one of ours!
- Learn to do Appalachian flatfooting (aka: clogging or percussive dance)
- Slow Jam
6:30p to 7:30p – Snacks and fellowship
At the Mohaupt Block (2024 W Superior St):
7:30p to 10:30p – Community Barn Dance. Dance with kind folks to lively live music. All dances taught and called. All ages. No experience and no partner necessary!
