Private Event (Main Hall): Bikes & Bites

  •  February 9, 2019
     5:15 pm - 6:15 pm

The Bites & Bikes Tour will bring riders to three stops on a tasty tour of Duluth! This family-friendly guided group ride will begin at the Zeitgeist Arts Cafe with appetizers, plus some tips and tricks for winter biking. Riders will then bike together to the Duluth Folk School, where we’ll enjoy a main dish of soup and bread from the Dovetail Cafe and listen (and maybe dance to) live music by Four Mile Portage! Our last stop will be Bayfront Family Center, for s’mores by the fire, hot cocoa, and ice skating for those who would like. There will be a limited number of ice skates available for use, but bring your own if you can.

To register (ticket includes a tasty meal!), follow this link:

This event is family-friendly and the majority of the route takes place on off-street, multi-use paths. Included in the ticket is the guided group ride, all food, and a set of bicycle lights. We really want to encourage younger riders to join us, so youth under the age of 18 are FREE, but please RSVP youth tickets by emailing shawna@zeitgeistarts.com. Creative bike decorations and lights encouraged!

This event is part of Zeitgeist’s Winter Bike Week, which encourages and celebrates winter biking in all its forms, whether for fun and recreation, or transportation and commuting. Working with partner organizations in the Duluth area, Winter Bike Week will host community events, educational workshops, and family-friendly bike rides to demonstrate that winter biking is fun, practical, and accessible to most people in our community. We hope to encourage everyone to embrace the beauty of winter by offering just one more way to enjoy it – by bike!

Winter Bike Week is made possible by the generous support of Spokengear Outdooor & Cyclerly, AAA Minnesota-Iowa, Aerostich, and QBP (Quality Bicycle Products).
