Music: Riverside Bogstompers

Traditional bluegrass group Riverside Bogstompers has been performing at pubs and coffeehouses around Duluth since 2009.

The band grew out of the Wednesday night open jam at Sir Benedict’s Tavern on the Lake, where its members still occasionally gather during the weekly sessions. They also hold a regular bunch show on the third Sunday of every month at Beaner’s Central. The group features John Bankson on banjo and resonator guitar, Leah Darnell on guitar, David Darnell on fiddle and Mark Laiti on bass — all sharing on vocals with Kerry Aarnes.
