This is a rhythmic and improvisational acoustic duo playing a variety of blues-based tunes including many originals and traditional favorites. Randy plays a 12-string, and does the singing and songwriting. He’s been performing bluesy material since the mid-60’s, with a variety of bands. In the Duluth area he played with Azure du Jour for 16 years, and currently plays with Milkbone. He started playing solo and duo (with Jim Hall) acoustically in the late 90’s, along with the bands. He teamed up with conga player Chris Reed several years ago, and this has been a great step due to Chris’ creativity and his jazz/blues influences…..
