Join One Less Guest, Woodblind and Minneapolis rockers The Fringe as the bands invade the Dovetail Cafe to school you with a master class in rock, funk and ska!
Each of The Fringe’s members have made the pilgrimage from the farm fields of the Midwest in order to present the very best in original, experimental rock music. Their sound salutes bands from years before and also presents something completely new.
One Less Guest is a quartet from Duluth, Minnesota comprised of guitarist Nick Muska, violinist Ren Cooper, bassist Nick Glass, and drummer Sten Duginski. Always dynamic, energetic & soulful, One Less Guest showcase their own original music alongside unique renditions of songs from artists past and present.
Wood Blind features the combo of Duluth mainstay and guitarist Jason Wussow and Los Angeles studio/ touring bass player Veikko Lepisto. Wussow’s credits include the bands Flux Skapacitor, No Room to Pogo, Yeltzi, Fuzzy Ellis and ownership of all-ages music venue Beaner’s Central. Lepisto has worked with Mike Ness of Social Distortion, Royal Crown Revue and Bette Midler while on the West Coast. Teamed together they make acoustic ska à la 1960s’ Jamaica and 70s’ England. Their sets include traditional reggae, ska versions of classic rock and R&B hits, and original rocksteady numbers.
