If you think kombucha is tasty, and you enjoy the health benefits it brings, then you may want to try kefir soda!
In this class, you will learn everything you need to know about brewing water kefir. We’ll cover ingredient selection, brewing, second fermentation, bottling, flavoring, and we’ll answer questions about all of the unknowns in between.
This is a hands-on class where you’ll take part in the brewing (and some tasting!), and you’ll bring home your own kefir grains to begin the process for yourself.
Water kefir allows you to experiment with flavors you can’t make with kombucha, sodas such as root beer, cream soda or cherry. With kefir you can make any flavor you want and all you taste is the flavor you add. And kefir offers a quick turnaround – it is ready the next day and your second brew is ready within 4 days.
We will be focusing on two flavors for this class. The first will be grape soda and the second will be the healthiest root beer you’ve ever had!
Instruction, and all the special materials you’ll need: a recipe, flavoring ideas, kefir grains and a jar to contain it all.
