Make a Macrame Plant Hanger
-
January 17, 2024
5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
In this class you will learn basic macrame knots and apply them to make your own custom chunky cotton plant hanger. Macrame is a set of knotting techniques to create textiles. Plant hangers are one of the easiest things to make with macrame and look great in the home. Shh, it looks a lot more complicated than it is! I will go over the process from start to finish: gathering supplies, cutting rope, getting started, knotting it up, and trimming the ends to finish it off. I’ll share how I like to hang the things from an indoor ceiling. If you would like to incorporate a small piece (1-2″ diameter, 3-8″ length) of driftwood as part of the hanger feel free to bring a piece.
