Lichens & Ferns Workshop
August 12, 2017
9:00 am - 4:00 pm
This all day workshop, held in partnership with our friends at the Friends of Sax Zim Bog, will include spending the day up at the Sax Zim bog, looking for some of the most often ignored organisms… lichens and ferns.
Spend the day learning about the lives of these fascinating groups. You’ll be in the field, learning identification tips and tricks, and we’ll find a wide variety of species, in a number of locations.
We’ll also bring specimens back to the Welcome Center to examine them under a microscope. Joe’s books will be available for purchase!

Joe, will you be teaching this course again 2017-18? I am interested, but will be away this August weekend with a previous commitment. Thank you, Gigi Stafne
Gigi, I have no idea what is on my schedule for next summer. None…ha ha. This summer has been my busiest yet. And truly rewarding! I hope to do more, but I can’t say at this time. Thanks for your interest.
