– Introduction to Green Wood Carving: Carve a Wall Hook

This class is an expert-led introduction to the craft of green wood carving!

Together, we’ll learn and practice safety and proper knife grips. Learning proper technique, you’ll then work on carving you very own wall hook, with Instructor Vevang guiding and giving individual feedback as you go.

This class is for carvers (or aspiring carvers) of all skill levels. Complete beginners welcome.

Registration Includes

All supplies and tools provided. You will go home with your own wall hook.

What goes into our class pricing? As a local nonprofit, Duluth Folk School is committed to supporting both our instructors and community. We want to compensate our instructors fairly, keep class sizes small, and keep our doors open—while also keeping prices as low as we can.

Student Requirements

  • Skill Level/Prerequisite Skills: No experience is needed and carvers of all skill levels and abilities are welcome.
  • Best for Ages: 16 and older
  • You should bring: Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting full of wood chips and close toed shoes.
