Introduction to 2-D Felting: Using Prefelts to Create a Wet Felted Artwork

Come learn the art of wet felting with beautifully dyed sheep wool! In this class you will learn how to use ‘pre-felts’ to create a one-of-a-kind artwork inspired by a theme of your choice. Think: landscape, animals, spring flowers, cityscape, etc. The possibilities are endless!
We will be creating a 2-D felted piece of artwork that will measure about 12″ x 12″ when finished. Whether you have felted before, or are new to this art form, come join us!
Registration Includes
Instruction and all materials ($30 value) are included . Students will leave with a beautifully felted piece, approximately 12″ x 12″ in size.
What goes into our class pricing? As a local nonprofit, Duluth Folk School is committed to supporting both our instructors and community. We want to compensate our instructors fairly, keep class sizes small, and keep our doors open—while also keeping prices as low as we can.

Student Requirements
- Skill Level/Prerequisite Skills: No experience necessary.
- Best for Ages: 18 and older
- You should bring: Please bring a bath towel; the towel will be used to merely soak up extra water. Bring a pair of scissors that will cut fabric. Feel free to bring visual ideas to help aid your creativity. Be ready for some good clean fun!
