Student Requirements

  • Skill Level/Prerequisite Skills: No previous experience necessary. This is a beginner/introductory class, but participants with previous mosaic experience will also find this project fun and rewarding! PLEASE NOTE: While students WILL NOT be cutting glass in class (all materials provided will be pre-cut), the edges of many pieces are sharp and students must have the dexterity to be able to handle small pieces of cut glass with care to avoid possible injury from sharp glass edges.
  • Best for Age: 13 and older
  • You should bring: Comfortable clothing as well as creativity & enthusiasm! Students may also bring in found objects from home that they wish to use in their design. PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to bring items/materials from home to use in your mosaic design, remember that it must have a flat and smooth back and not be too large or heavy, so that it will stick to the wood when glued down. Some examples of good items: very small & smooth rocks, buttons, beads, etc.
