This is a great class for folks looking to open the doors to the boundless, joyful, and sometimes slightly obscure world of fiddle music!
We’ll listen to a bunch of tunes, walk away with a few basic techniques, and perhaps learn the secret to the age-old question – What’s the difference between the violin and the fiddle?

Progressive and easy-to-follow instruction in a welcoming group setting.

You should bring…
You should bring a fiddle (or a violin), note paper and something to write with. If your fiddle hasn’t been played for a long time, it would be helpful to bring it to a music shop to have it set up. If you have a tuner, bring it along.
NOTE: One registration option includes rental of a fiddle for the duration of class.

Is it necessary to have prior experience with violin? I am a complete novice..
Hi Cathy. I just checked in with the instructor, and he said you should be fine!
Will this beginner fiddle class be offered again (soon)?
Probably not soon (not within the next few months), but we’ll definitely be offering it again.
