Home Energy Conservation
-
January 22, 2022
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
This class is part of our ‘How Your House Works’ series.
Winter is here! In this hands-on workshop, we’ll be working with an experienced energy professional to understand basic concepts of energy conservation, and practice reducing our energy use in a residential home.
In the first section of the class, we’ll present general concepts and techniques. Next we’ll demonstrate a blower door test, and test out some tools of the trade. Then we’ll guide the class to practice techniques to improve insulation and energy savings in their own homes.
This class will meet at an in-progress residential home to experience these energy improvements in context. This is a great opportunity to get your hands dirty before working on your own energy saving projects!
In this class, the instructor will answer questions and cover a variety of situations.
