Forest Bathing Class at Duluth Folk School

Forest Bathing

  •  October 23, 2022
     12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

Inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin yoku, Forest Bathing has been scientifically proven to boost immune strength, reduce stress, and improve cognitive functioning. During a Forest Bathing walk we will have the opportunity to slow down and carefully observe our senses. We may begin to notice incredible things about ourselves and the more-than-human world around us. In escaping the rapid pace of our everyday routines we may find unparalleled wonder in the moment and relax into the beauty all around us.

Registration Includes…

By the end of class, you will go home with a sense of calm, and an inspiration for spending more time out in nature.

You should bring…

A water bottle, clothes you are comfortable with getting dirty as we often sit on the ground. Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, apply sunscreen ahead of time), tick protection (long pants to tuck into socks) and sturdy shoes for walking on uneven surfaces. Dress for the weather, if it is raining, we will still go unless there is lightning or the guide deems the conditions unsafe. Dress in layers to keep yourself comfortable during the experience.
