Ferment your veggies!
September 17, 2016
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Fermenting your own vegetables is tasty, safe, easy, and good for you! Join us to learn how easy it is to preserve and enjoy your vegetables by fermenting them!
You will gain insight into the process of fermenting, and you will participate in making your own fermented vegetables. You will also have an opportunity to taste different varieties of fermented vegetables, and you’ll go home with some fantastic recipes! This is a family friendly class (each person attending must register; children must be accompanied by an adult).
We will have a variety of fresh vegetables, and each participant will choose vegetables, chop them up and get their own “Minnesota Kimchi” started – you’ll go home with your first batch!
Participants should bring…
Participants will need to bring a sharp knife for cutting vegetables, a clean mason/spaghetti jar with lid (unsterilized is fine) and a cutting board. If you don’t have these supplies, let us know and we can supply them.
