This class will teach you how to find and finish diamond willow to make walking sticks and other craft projects.
You will be provided with a fresh stick so you can learn how to peel willow, and a peeled, dried stick so you can learn how to finish a walking stick. You will take two sticks home with you: one that is peeled and ready to dry and one that is sanded and ready to varnish.
You will go home with two trekking sticks. One will be a green, peeled stick that you’ll need to let season for a while, and the other will be dried, sanded stick. You’ll also receive rubber tips for both trekking sticks.
