Crochet a Magic Carpet

Take scraps of fabric and an extra large crochet hook, and you can create your own colorful “magic carpet.”
You’ll cut strips, discover a seamless joint, and create a rug in either a traditional oval or an adventurous chevron.
Registration Includes
The instructor will provide the instruction to make both styles of rug, and you will go home with the start of the rug of your choice .
Skill Level
Students should know how to chain and single crochet.
Best for Ages…
13 and up
You should bring…
Scissors, size J or K crochet hook, lots of scrap cotton fabric (old cotton t-shirts and/or cotton sheets work nicely). Also, you may want to bring a snack/drink and a sweater.

I’m interested in the crochet a magic carpet class. Do we bring sheets to cut on site or cut them first? I’d need instructions if it’s the latter.

How many t-shirts do we need for a rug?
Just checked with the instructor, and she said two or three t-shirts should be enough. Hope that helps!
