Community Felt Rug Making: Design Class

This class is a continuation of 3 earlier days in October, and is when the design and hard work really begins to come together!

We will be laying out the base layers, lightly felting them, and then adding our design on top of this base in preparation for the community felt making event the following day.

This event is a collaboration between artist Mary Reichert, the Duluth Art Institute, and the Duluth Folk School.

Mary Reichert is a fiscal year 2019 recipient of an Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.  This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to legislative appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature; and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
