This program is intended to provide under-represented and under-served youth in our area an opportunity to gain woodworking and life skills as we build a canoe together, which will allow us to explore and connect with outdoor spaces!

Free handcrafting experience with the Duluth Folk School!

During this hands-on experience, you’ll work as part of a team and contribute to the building of a canoe that you’ll have the option to paddle once finished. Along the way, you’ll solve problems, make innovative decisions, and discover your own strengths. We don’t ask that you commit to every day of this program, only that you give it your best on the days that you can be there. This is an opportunity to try something new and pursue further if you choose to. Let’s build together!

Youth-serving agencies that would like to have a group involved should contact Erika to discuss group size, transportation, and days that work for you.

If you have any questions, please reach out to erika@duluthfolkschool.com.
