April 7, 2018
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
This class will give you the knowledge and confidence to plan and carry out your own Boundary Waters canoe trip this summer!
You will walk away from this class with the practical knowledge to safely and effectively travel through the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. You will learn what to bring, what to leave behind, and a sense of where, within the area’s 1.1 million acres, would best be suited for the type of trip you’re looking for.
The class will be equal parts hands on demonstration and practice, classroom style lecture, and small group discussion. By the end of class, you will have selected some possible entry points, and will know what to pack and how to travel, on your first trip to the Boundary Waters!
