Bites & Bikes Tour

  •  February 10, 2018
     4:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The Bites & Bikes Tour will bring riders to three stops on a tasty tour of Duluth!

This family-friendly guided group ride will begin at the Zeitgeist Arts Cafe with their famous fries and pretzels, plus some tips and tricks for winter biking. Riders will then bike together to the Duluth Folk School, where we’ll enjoy pork sliders or vegetarian sloppy Joe’s from OMC Smokehouse, cans Bent Paddle Beer, and live music from Four Mile Portage. Our last stop will be Bayfront Family Center, for s’mores by the fire, hot cocoa, and ice skating for those who would like. There will be a limited number of ice skates available for use, but bring your own if you can.

This event is family-friendly and the route takes place on off-street, multi-use paths. Be sure to bring bike lights if you have them. Included in the ticket is the guided group ride, all food and refreshments, and one Bent Paddle Beer for each person 21+. Additional Bent Paddle beers available for purchase. We really want to encourage younger riders to join us, so youth under the age of 18 are FREE, but please RSVP youth tickets by emailing shawna@zeitgeistarts.com. Creative bike decorations and lights are encouraged!

Party on Bikes

This event is part of Zeitgeist’s Winter Bike Week, which encourages and celebrates winter biking in all its forms, whether for fun and recreation, or transportation and commuting. Working with partner organizations in the Duluth area, Winter Bike Week will host community events, educational workshops, and family-friendly bike rides to demonstrate that winter biking is fun, practical, and accessible to most people in our community. We hope to encourage everyone to embrace the beauty of winter by offering just one more way to enjoy it – by bike! Full event listing can be found at zeitgeistarts.com/community/winter-bike-week-events/

Registration includes a bike light set for those who do not have lights, thanks to Quality Bicycle Products!
