Birch Bark Stars
-
November 8, 2019
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
During this class, you will learn how to weave a star ornament from strips of birch bark!
You’ll learn about sustainable birch bark harvest, and gain a new appreciation for this local resource. Materials will be prepped for you, and you will also learn how to prep materials for yourself. You will learn several examples of what can be accomplished using this weaving technique.
If you complete a star, we might have time to learn how to make birch bark beads, which can be strung along with your ornament. This is a process with a learning curve – though it may feel clumsy at first, the end result is one to be proud of.

Any chance you’ll schedule another of this class before Christmas since it was sold out and there’s a wait list?!?
Hope you have one more soon
We’re offering three sessions of this class this year (increased from last year), and all three have filled up. We’re looking into whether we can find another qualified instructor for this class, but it might be a while.
