Are you excited about using your digital camera, but intimidated by the 400 page manual that came with it? This class will teach you the basics of digital photography, the camera settings that matter most, and the tips on composition that will improve the pictures that you take. We’ll walk through the important settings on your camera and will venture outside to take pictures in the Lincoln Park neighborhood around the folk school.
This class will help you unlock the secrets of your camera and help you learn the techniques to improve your photography!
Registration Includes
By the end of class, you will know more about your camera and you will learn about what makes for good composition. You’ll discover how those two things, working together, will help you capture photographs you’ll be proud of.
You should bring…
Bring your DSLR camera, your camera manual, and any accessories you have that you’d like to learn more about. Since we’ll be walking outside as part of class, please dress for the weather.

This class is intended for people who are new to their digital cameras or who want a more in-depth understanding of it.
