Are you an outdoor enthusiast? If you are, then it’s pretty likely that you (or one of your adventure partners) may have gotten a sliver, a blister, or a small cut – no big deal for any of those. However, have you worried about what might happen if things went bad? As in, ‘holy cow this is really bad,’ bad? Well, worry no more!

Wilderness First Aid

Taught by two emergency medicine physicians and outdoor enthusiasts, this course will teach you what you need to know to help protect yourself and save others when disaster strikes in a remote setting. Participants in this class will receive hands-on training in wilderness first aid techniques, and after a final practical exam, will be certified Wilderness and Remote First Aid Providers through the American Red Cross*.

This class is ideal for those who plan to lead trips, teach summer camps, or just plain love being outdoors and want to be prepared to help those around them when accidents or illness happen.

This course is made possible in part by a generous grant from St. Luke’s Health Care System.
