Join David S. Cargo as he teaches us how to build a backyard stacked-brick oven!

After the oven is built, we’ll fire it up while students learn how to make dough for flatbreads, bread, and pizza!

Build a Pizza Oven with the Duluth Folk School

We’ll bake (and eat!) flatbread, bread and pizza, and we’ll use the brick oven that we just made! We also get to add Food Farm veggies to the pizza – yum!

You will leave with knowledge of how to build stacked brick ovens, plans for three different sizes of ovens, and you will have practiced baking in these ovens.

Registration Includes

You will get a Food Farm lunch (email us if you have dietary restrictions), practice building a brick fire oven, and pizza at the end of the day. You’ll also leave with a fairly thick packet of materials describing how to build your own oven, how to manage the fire, what tools are required, oven designs, and recipes (some of which will be demonstrated in class).
