I acknowledge and I am aware that the program for which I have registered could involve risks or hazards. This release does not apply to liabilities due to gross negligence or wanton reckless misconduct by Duluth Folk School, LLC, including all its personnel, agents, affiliates, staff, contractors, or volunteers. Apart from that exception, this release applies to any and all liabilities to me or my estate of any description, whether involving fees and expenses or any kind.

In the event that some person, entity, or party seeks compensation for these liabilities, I or my estate will indemnify and hold harmless Duluth Folk School, LLC, its personnel, agents, affiliates, staff, contractors, and volunteers for all sums reasonably incurred in response to that claim. This release is to be interpreted and enforced under Minnesota State Law.

Waiting Lists
We keep a waiting list for all filled courses. If you are on the waiting list, we will only contact you if a space becomes available.

Payment

All registrations are made online through the Duluth Folk School website’s secure payment gateway.

When you register for a course, you have reserved a place for yourself in that course. Registrations are filled on a first come, first served basis. Early registrations make a big difference in our ability to hold classes!

Because of registration costs, faculty contracts, material acquisitions, and venue rentals, the Duluth Folk School is required to charge cancellation fees to students who change their itineraries.

Please note:
Once you have registered for a class, cancellation fees apply, regardless of the reason for canceling.

  1. A full refund will be given when a cancellation is received 30 days before the course date.
  2. A 50% refund will be given if your cancellation is received at least 15 days before the course date.
  3. If you must cancel within two weeks of the course date, no refund will be given.
  4. No refunds will be made after the start date of a class.

Registrations are not transferable.

Course Cancellation
